Toshio Odate, without a doubt. I always looked forward to a Peter Follansbee article, and learned a bit from Doug Stowe as well. Woodwork was (is?) a magazine that I enjoyed from cover to cover, which is rare these days. I enjoyed the in-depth look at the artists, especially. It seemed as though there was a philosophy behind the magazine, not just a group of ”how-to’s” and ”new tools.” I was introduced to many woodworker’s work through the magazine, and I keep back issues handy for inspiration…you can’t say that about many magazines.
